Media audiences and products assignment
The TV show I am choosing for this assignment is Channel 4's Misfits, a show about a group of 5 people on community service for different crimes that find trouble when they and many other people gain supernatural powers from a freak storm.
The 1st series premiere of Misfits was originally aired on the 12th November 2009.
The target audience for Misfits is teenagers, this is because the show contains a high amount of sexual scenes as well as violence, drug use, etc. The scenes in Misfits would most likely arouse the attention of teenagers as they may find the show to be interesting and it may relate to them and what teenagers would do as the people on community service portray teenagers themselves, so the show would surely relate to teenagers in some sense.
The gender Misfits targets is both Male and Female, I myself can suggest this because a friend of mine who is female introduced me to the show.
